Supervisors’ Meeting
February 3, 2010
Sup. Allen called the Supervisors Meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Ridgebury Township Municipal Building, 13278 Berwick Turnpike Gillett, PA. He led those in attendance to a pledge to the flag. Members Present: Lawrence Ostrander, James Allen, Timothy Watkins

Citizens Input
· Gary Wood - Questioned status of unsafe buildings, junk vehicles, Nuisance Ordinance, and Park Ordinance. Sup. Allen stated that nothing has been done with the items in question. Secretary stated that the Park Ordinance will be reviewed by Park and Little League Committees to get recommendations.
· David Baker - Signed up to speak because he has a right to and feels everyone should.
· Diane Husted - Reserved the right to speak later.
Executive Session was held to discuss legal matters. Meeting called back to order.
Sup. Allen made a motion to accept a stipulation to resolve pending litigation in regard to the dam, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
Meeting Minutes
· Sup. Ostrander made a motion to accept the minutes of the January 4 Supervisors Meeting, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report
· Sup. Allen made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report and pay bills, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.
Reports
· Supervisors reviewed the Road, Code Inspection and Police Reports
Correspondence & Communications
· No correspondence to discuss.
Old Business
· Posting and Bonding Ordinance - Sup. Allen made a motion for Solicitor to advertise the Posting and Bonding Ordinance, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
New Business
· Earles Sub-Division - Sup. Allen made a motion to approve the Earles sub-division/land development request, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
· BC Inmate Program - Sup. Allen made a motion for the Township to utilize the Bradford County Inmate Workforce Program, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried. Supervisors also agreed that the Township would work with people needing to complete community service hours.
· Secretary Wages - Sup. Watkins made a motion to give Secretary .25 raise, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.
· Park Lawn Care - Sup. Allen made a motion for Secretary to advertise the Proposal Request for Park Lawn Care, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.
· PA One Call - Sup. Allen agreed for the Township to enroll in PA One Call, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
· Uniforms - Sup. Allen made a motion to table the uniform discussion, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.
· Auditor resignation - Sup. Allen made a motion to accept the resignation of Lucile Jelliff as Township Auditor, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
· Auditor Appointment - Sup. Allen made a motion for Jerry Phillips to serve as Auditor, seconded by Sup. Watkins, Sup. Ostrander nay, motion carried.
Citizens Input
· Pat Scala - Stated any positions open in the Township, such as the Auditor position, should be advertised to give everyone an opportunity to apply for it.
· Ed Galvin - Thank you to the Road Crew for a good job on Galvin Road.
Sup. Allen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 pm, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
