Ridgebury Township Supervisors’ Meeting

July 7, 2010

Sup. Allen called the Supervisors Meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Ridgebury Township Municipal Building, 13278 Berwick Turnpike Gillett, PA. He led those in attendance to a pledge to the flag.  Members Present:  Lawrence Ostrander, James Allen.  Absent: Tim Watkins.

Announcement of recording:  Township.

Citizens Input

· Pat Scala- Questioned when the Township would be mowing weeds on side of roads. Questioned status of Solicitor billing.

Meeting Minutes

· Sup. Allen made a motion to accept the minutes of the June 2 Supervisors Meeting, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report

· Sup. Allen made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report and pay bills, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.

Reports

· Tim Ackley, Road Foreman, gave the Monthly Road Report.

· Code Inspections report was reviewed.

Correspondence & Communications

· Sup. Allen made a motion to pay Solicitor invoice of $2,280, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, carried.

· Ridgebury Fire Company sent a thank you for the anonymous donation made.

Old Business - None

New Business

· Non-Building Waivers - Sup. Allen made motions to approve the non-building waivers of Wood and Rightmire, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motions carried.

· Road Maintenance Agreements - Discussion held in regard to Maintenance Agreements with gas companies and/or road posting.  Secretary is to send Maintenance Agreement to EOG Res for review.  Sup. Ostrander made a motion to table until Sup. Watkins returns for next meeting, seconded by Sup. Allen, carried. Sup. Allen added that too much time has passed and a decision needs to be made.

· Video Camera Purchase - Secretary to purchase a video camera to use for road inspections for maintenance agreements.

· Wiebach mailbox - A request was received from Mr. Wiebach to replace a mailbox that he states was damaged by Township mower.  Supervisors are awaiting information from solicitor.

· 1st Bid - Sup. Allen made a motion to advertise for bid 1,000 ton m/l PennDot approved 1st to be stored and picked up at supplier's location through the end of October 2010. Supplier must be located within 15 mile radius of Township Garage, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.

· Emergency Operations - Sup. Allen made a motion to accept the Emergency Operations Plan and Notification and Resource Manual, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.

· Resolution 2010-05 - Sup. Allen made a motion to accept Resolution 2010-05 Opposition to Forced Local Government Mergers, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.

· Bradford County Sanitation PerCapita Resolution - Tabled for secretary to research.

Sup. Allen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 pm, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.
