Ridgebury Township Supervisors’ Meeting

May 5, 2010

Sup. Allen called the Supervisors Meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Ridgebury Township Municipal Building, 13278 Berwick Turnpike Gillett, PA. He led those in attendance to a pledge to the flag.  Members Present:  Lawrence Ostrander, James Allen, Timothy Watkins.

Meeting Minutes

· Sup. Ostrander made a motion to accept the minutes of the April 7 Supervisors Meeting, seconded by Sup. Allen, motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report

· Sup. Ostrander made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report and pay bills, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.

Reports

· Tim Ackley, Road Foreman, gave the Monthly Road Report.

· Code Inspections report was reviewed.

Correspondence & Communications

· Thank you note from Fetterholf's for the Road Crew.

Old Business

· PSATs Convention - Supervisors reported that it was a very good convention this year.

· Park Ordinance - Sup. Allen made a motion to pass Park Ordinance #77, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.

· Community Workforce Inmate Program - Three members of the program from the Bradford County Jail began painting the garage this week, they are doing an excellent job. Secretary will submit a request for additional jobs for the Township.

New Business

· Backhoe Loan - Sup. Allen made a motion to pass Resolution 2010-04 Local Government Capital Project Loan Program, to enable the Township to apply for a loan from DCED for the purchase of a used backhoe.

· Backhoe Bidding - Sup. Allen made a motion for the Township to advertise bids for a used backhoe, if DCED loan is approved.

· Exonerations - Sup. Ostrander made a motion to accept the tax exonerations, seconded by Sup. Allen, motion carried.

Sup. Allen made a motion to submit for a Highway Occupancy Permit for McMann-Monkey Run Road, once the Maintenance Agreement is signed, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.

Sandy Rimbey requested a meeting with the Supervisors to discuss personnel matters; this will take place Monday, May 10 at 10:00 am

Sup. Allen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:33 pm, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.
