Ridgebury Township Supervisors’ Meeting
June 2, 2010
Sup. Allen called the Supervisors Meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Ridgebury Township Municipal Building, 13278 Berwick Turnpike Gillett, PA. He led those in attendance to a pledge to the flag. Members Present: Lawrence Ostrander, James Allen, Timothy Watkins.

Meeting Minutes
· Sup. Ostrander made a motion to accept the minutes of the May 5 Supervisors Meeting, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report
· Sup. Ostrander made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report and pay bills, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
Reports
· Tim Ackley, Road Foreman, gave the Monthly Road Report.
o Secretary discussed the many complaints that have been received in regard to the tremendous dust after working dirt roads due to not being able to spread salt brine this year. The Secretary has researched the options the township has, including the use of calcium chloride and will provide information to the Supervisors. Sup. Watkins stated he has been looking into options for the dust control also.
· Code Inspections report was reviewed.
Correspondence & Communications
· Notification was received from EOG Resources, Inc. stating intent for four wells.

New Business
· Non-Building Waivers - Sup. Allen made a motion to approve the non-building waivers of Craig and Rightmire, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
· Exonerations - Sup. Ostrander made a motion to accept the tax exonerations, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
· Junkyard Permit Renewal - Sup. Allen made a motion to approve the renewal application for VanDyke's junkyard, seconded by Sup. Watkins, motion carried.
· Workforce Inmate Program - Secretary announced that she has requested the services of the Workforce program to do painting in the Municipal Building. Sup. Watkins asked that a thank you letter be sent to Jim Wood for the use of scaffolding when having the Township garage painted.
Discussion was held in regard to salt brine, Sup. Allen requested the Township get the brine currently in the tank tested to see if it is approved by DEP. The Road Foreman announced that the Dust Control purchased by residents is tentatively scheduled to be spread on Monday, June 7 (weather permitting).
Secretary reminded everyone of the 2nd Annual Comm. Park Day being held June 5 from 12 - 4 p.m.
Sup. Allen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:33 pm, seconded by Sup. Ostrander, motion carried.
