Emergency Management in the township goes according to an Emergency Operations Plan. The steps of this plan are coordinated through the Emergency Management Coordinator.

Some of the vast responsibilities of the Emergency Management Coordinator are; keeping current a disater emergency operations plan, initating and maintaining coordination with the County Emergency Management Agency, identifying hazards that may affect the municipaility, identifying resources within the municipality, developing and maintaining an emergency management organization, mobilizing and coordinating the emergency management staff and developing a standard operating procedure.
